Words, vivid illustrations in life’s deceptions,
Vivid fallacies of hopeful dreamers, rendered
Illustrations of broken fantasies, distort believability
In hopeful fantasies, our vision relies
Life’s dreamers, distort vision nightly upon
Deceptions, rendered believability relies upon faithlessness
Over at D’Verse, for Form-For-All, Sam Peralta has introduced us to the Square Poem.
I’ve been doing things like this for years, just for kicks and/or to help kill time.
Until now though, I never knew there was an actual form, as I always thought of it
as some kind of word game I’d come up with as a teen. But, like most things in life,
if you think you created something, google it (can’t believe I actually wrote that) and I’m
sure you’ll find your idea on the screen in one form or another.
So hop on over to D’verse, where I encourage you to read Sam’s write-up, which is really
a good read and very informative. After you’re done with that, check out the work
linked up by the other d’versifiers and perhaps the fancy will strike you, and you’ll
compose a Square Poem of your own, and link it up with the rest. Cheers.
