Twenty-Six Prevarications

Alternative axioms affirm
Barefaced bedrock’s backbones

Corruption contemptuously condemning contumely—
Degradations dance, descends…

Euphoric entities enable
False friendships forever

Guileful gargoyles gaze
Hauntingly harassing happiness

Inserting imposing inquisitions
Jocund joviality jarring—

Killing Kismets kilns—
Living Luxurious lies—

Multiplying mayhems map—
Neither-named nor numbered

Openly obliterating Obligation’s
Poignantly plotted plan—
Questioning quelled quinellas
Revealing rudimentary rapscallions
Saintly severed strands

Trauma’s tears taught
Unilaterally under ubiquities
Vexed visual vulgarities
Wisdom weeps writhingly

X-raying Xanthus xenophobes
Youthful Yahwistic yearning
Zephyrs zestfully zigzag

One pain
Two promises
Three Penances
Four Paragons
Five Paradigms
Six Parapets
Seven Partitions
Eight Pandemics

About hobgoblin2011

In 2012 I was 370 lbs, dealing with severe spinal injuries and miserable in every aspect of the word. Through hard work, dedication and the installation of self-belief, I changed everything about myself. It took 5 years to become the person I am today and I want to share everything I’ve learned during my transformation. Transformations aren’t solely about weight loss. I’ve learned that to truly transform you must change in many more ways than that. I hope to provide useful tips, information and motivation/inspiration to anyone who needs to make a Change themselves.

  1. 26 lies. Amazing play of words with very evocative results.

    • Thanks, had been wanting to do a piece like this for a while, came across it going through some older poems I wrote for my other sight, where I found an alphabet poem, and I remembered how much I wanted to do a way-out there overuse of alliteration so I took it as a sign to go ahead and do it. The numbered part at the end wasn’t planned at all, it kind of came about as I was writing the alphabetic portion. Really glad you enjoyed this. Thanks

  2. I had to look for the meaning of prevarications. First time I encountered that word. I enjoyed most the numbers with all words starting with Ps. 🙂
