Seasonal Shifter

A seasonal shift of scattered frequencies
fall amongst the dark and dwindling star

No matter the depths of darkness
no matter the invisible sound of screaming
despite southbound directionality
despite the pangs and thralls

Summer will pass,
and then comes fall
Asleep, into winter’s
Dreams we march,

Only to reawaken to
springs thaw…only to
repeat the cycle
Repeat the cycle
repeat the cycle
once again

Once again
A repetition steals its space
tying downs the ends with weightiness
for structures sake it atones past
contrivances with irrigation
and a felt pen…conundrums never
uncoil, they just blend…deeply blend,

Into the journey’s leg, lost and never
to be found again…unless of course
fate springs a leak, and repositions the
person atop the exact location the repression
yielded its bountiful solemnity…percussion
instrumental drivel, drumming up, what’s been
locked and caged…WHY WAS IT NOT BURIED WITH THE REST, you calmly ask yourself, truly not expecting a response, let alone
A full on conjugation…

Only in winter
only in Dream
can such a mind
diverted through plague
stand true to the test of
after dining upon a feast
of atrophy…

Seasonably warm…
Unreasonably cold…
Now and then….now and then…

Seasonably cold…
Over, warm wind cloudy
Now, and then…now….and then….

Refrigeration…has a price
we often…too willingly… pay
