Furlongs Past Fatigued (Spoken Word)

About hobgoblin2011

I'm a poet and aspiring screenwriter/songwriter with a passion for film, art, photography, philosophy and heavy metal. I love reading, mainly non-fiction, comic books, graphic novels, myth and reference. Family always comes first for me. I'm a proud father to two wonderful pups and two curious cats. I'm also a glutton for punishment aka the life of being a diehard Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan.

  1. A text version of this poem can be found over at my original poetry blog, in case anyone would rather read the poem, or open a separate window and read along. I’m not really sure how to post the poem into the same post as the player, but I’ve seen it done many times. This is my first recording so I’ll learn. Thanks

    • Well, that was something!!
I listened to it several times, text next to it. [You might want to put the text over fhere as well, in case people won’t bother to fetch it over and it does make a real difference}.
I was enthralled by finally realizing what you were on about with the rhyme, and lulled into submission if you like by your soft pleasant voice.

don’t know if you remember my first attempt at reading my sonnet on my one flower blog, about three weeks ago? Sadly, I was swamped by a machine and overstepped my bandwith, so I have to think of a different way. Was it difficult to get the wordpress audio set up? Do you use sound cloud or openstore or what?

anyway, a real step forward. Well done.

      • Thanks. Yeah I wanted to include the text here, but I haven’t quite figured it out yet. Will try another recording either a bit later tonight or some other time when the house isn’t as noisy. I was able to post the audio here, using a site called where it’s free to record something like 30GB’s or MB’s I can’t remember. But each recording can only be 3 minutes or less. Then once you record a track, they give you a bunch of options to transfer the recording. I couldn’t get that part to work, but then, still on the sharing page I saw an option where they give you code and then I copied that and pasted it into the html body of a post. Thanks
